Well I sure aint buying no fucking Larry Carlton guitar or some other BS...... You want to, that is fine and be My guest.
Neither do I, (my only two Strats or alikes are a real (CIJ) Fender and a Charvel So-Cal)...but even still, Yamaha doesn't make 1-to-1 Strat copies.
A Pacifica is as close to a Strat (on a more detailed level... I don't see Fender offer 14" radiuses for instance) as your beloved Kramer Pacer models, and last time I checked, Gibson owns Kramer, not FMIC. Heck, those MusicYo-era Kramer Focus Strats were more of a Fender ripoff than anything Yamaha produced.

So, another (expected) moot argument.

But hey, you do you.

Well who gives a fuck..... Thankfully You can in the States.....

It's not Fenders fault Europe has stupid laws :dunno:

He lost his GC distribution because he criticized people burning down buildings in his A.O during blm riots on social media as the wrong approach to fixing injustices. He shut down for two years and relocated to Tennessee.
Hahas not quite.

That's what GC claimed, but he had the receipts to show they had stopped paying his invoices long before that. They were in default and he was pulling out of their model before the dumb fuck BLM shit went down. GC used it as a convenient excuse and then the other retailers cucked out hard to virtue signal.

Wow, unreal. I just know at the time damn near every manufacturer was putting on the mask pretending like they cared. Even ernie ball donated to blm smh.

They sure did, but only after Guitar Center brought light and attention to that one meme Fuller posted. It was a pretty tame meme for the time, but they virtue signal'd hard enough to get him cancelled amongst the pathetic cuck music world. He posted their unpaid invoices, and communications he had with them about losing the agreement but no one cared about facts...

Makes me never want to deal with them again.....so basically they stiffed him and then played the race card to make themselves look virtuous and avoid paying their debts.

Bingo. It was during one of their economic struggles when they were being mismanaged by venture capitalists.

I bought several pedals from him when he was closing up his LA shop. Having dealt with customers directly, I can appreciate the email exchanges that were posted online. Was he a dick? Yes. Did the customer seem like the type of person I would be a dick to as well? Also yes.

If I had a dollar for every social media guitar gear shill posting opinions on Fender's legal efforts, I could buy a new Fender Strat, MIM.

If it keeps up, I could buy a new Fender American Vintage II.

Even if you think the strat shape 'belongs' to fender, the legal fact is that they never filed a trademark on the shape, never enforced that trademark or took any meaningful steps until 2003, nearly 50 years and many changes in ownership after it's creation. They hold little to no legal right over it. They're sending letters to companies and trying to bait them into lawsuits to revisit the issue.

I've worked on thousands of instruments and fix Fenders on a daily basis as a warranty hub. They are some of the laziest slapped together instruments I have the displeasure of working on. Even the custom shop ones are just uninspired and boring compared to what a lot of small builders are putting out there. Some of the things I deal with on the regular: Stripped 1/8th truss rod nuts because someone hamfisted it. Stripped heel bolt holes from morons taking off the neck to adjust the truss rod and not threading the screws right. Both issues from Fender refusing to get with the times and use spoke wheels. Dogshit circuitboards in their active basses that fail two months after owning them. Dogshit wiring, grounds not connected. DOA pickups. S1 switches breaking. Speaking of S1, Using weird polarity bridge humbuckers so you can't easily replace with something like a JB without it being out of phase in most positions. <- That ones easily fixed by me, but not by a Joe Schmo just DIYing. Shoddy fretwork to the point where the 'factory specs' are purposely set with tons of relief and high action so the average person 'wouldn't notice'. Not to mention getting parts from Fender is like pulling fucking teeth. I don't want client's guitars in my shop for 3 months. - - - - Can't complain though, because Fender making shitty guitars pays the bills because they pay me to fix them.

It's not Europe's fault the US has stupid people..
See how that sounds?
It sounds pretty ass backwards because You can't blame Americans for Europe and their stupid ass laws......

These arent American/US laws they are European laws :dunno:

This is absolutely not surprising at all, unfortunately.

Fortunately though, I am going to spend a lot more money with Fuller than I am with cucks like JHS because of this

I just wish there were enough uncucked people to outnumber the retards. Fulltone makes excellent products. I'm not really an OCD guy but his wahs are quite literally the best on the planet. The tube tape echo is out of this world good as well.

At least you can speak negatively about a nationality in the US and not be imprisoned.

Very, very true

I feel bad for the RTers in places where political affiliation has now replaced religiosity - because that's what it really is.

You need to pray to their far-left globohomo marxist gods of "tolerance" and "multiculturalism" or literally go to prison. They act like challenges to their political orthodoxy are literal heresy. It's absolutely insane that it's even gotten this bad.

On the positive side though, it looks like the UK may have finally had enough based on what's going on there

Conservative folk also believe in individual property rights
Very little "individual" in large faceless corpos 🤷‍♂️

I'm sure what ever holding group that owns Fender is much more benevolent than Blackrock, or the Gates Foundation or Pfizer.

But hey the fun part about this is the stakes are much lower and the counterfeit companies aren't the ones who would ever get hurt even if this goes to court:LOL:

Honestly I still think what when down with John Cruz was the most unfair thing

Thankfully the entity that fired him is doing the Right Thing™ this time :)
