Still not as retarded and narrow minded as the Kids "it's all the Europeans fault" BS about "them happy to buy counterfeits in droves" and "all because of their stupid laws".
Jeez Louise, what a bunch of kool aid infused crock.
An American company sueing a Chinese company in Germany.. doesn't get much more GLOBAL than that.
Maybe after ya boy gets his way, Fender can make premium CS versions with 'premium' tonewood from Greenland, how's that for innovation?
/facepalm
Look, like some folks already rightfully said, guys like Rhett Shull irk me too, with their high and mighty "I wasn't around back then, but I'mma teach ya boomers about stuff made in YOUR time, not mine" millennial approach, but this is besides the points of 1)whether US made guitars are by definition better than others, especially with something so dead simple and pedestrian (and purposely designed so by Leo, I might add) as a Strat or Tele, and 2) whether it's fair to call out FMIC on a lame ass, way past its window of opportunity -move (72 years...).
If you feel FMIC has every right to do so, go buy their (by now overpriced) stuff, but don't come telling me here some politized BS about US-made being inherently better, mkay?
I'll happily play my 3 80's Japanese made Burny Les Pauls, next to my 90's Japanese made (Fender branded even!) '68 RI Strat, and ESP (not LTD, not E-II

) Horizon NTII, *next* to my Gibson Flying V.
You know, because I choose instruments based on quality, not on political talking points.
