Anybody have the V30/Greenback mix in their cabs? I think I want to try this out.

I've got the Heritage G12M's and V30's in an X-pattern in an angled Marshall cabinet driven by my BE-100. Sounds great.

50MkII,
Could you please tell me the Friedman name of the grill cloth used on your cab? It's absolutely bad ass and resembles the old Marshalls. Only asking b/c I want to order.
Thanks, Bryan

And wanted to ask Dave - would you entertain the idea of a 2x12?

Dave does make a 2x12 cabinet

As soon as we have pictures it will go up on the site. Hang on.

Checkerboard grill cloth a la 70's Marshall style.

Will do Dave.

As always, thanks for responding

I can't move my Friedman 4x12 too far by myself without ending up at the chiropractor... is this the final design for the Friedman 2X12? ...I like it!!!, what is the weight? 50-60lbs?

I later got the specs on this Friedman 2x12.... weight 53.8lbs, dimensions 20"(H) x 30"(W) x 12"(D)

Dave,
Just curious, who no wheels on any of the cabs?
Thanks,

The Bogner cabs have the removable wheels so you can roll from your car to the stage, then take the wheels off when your in position. Reason I ask is my Friedman cab is a pain in the butt to carry and at the moment I bring a furniture moving cart to get it to and fro. Guess I'll go to Home Depot and pick me up some casters. They are cheap and the carry the exact same ones as my Bogner 4x12's have.

While we're on the subject, what are the preferred speakers for the 2x12 with the BE100?

Well that's a good ? In our 2x12 we are using v30 speakers right now. That could change. I like many speakers.

Hey there,
Thanks for chiming in. And thanks for the great amp.
I'm enjoying the newest version of the BE very much.

I have a Mesa Recto 2x12 and an open-back (slight opening) Mojave 2x12.

I tried the Mesa Recto with the Mesa V30s first, and liked the sound. It had plenty of cut.
The Mojave was loaded with a Heritage g12h30 55hz and Creamback M65. It had a big low end, and a fuller sound than the Mesa, but was missing the high mid cut.
So I swapped the Creamback 65 for a V30, ended up with Mesa V30/CB and Mojave G12h3055hz/V30.
Both cabs improved, imo.
I really like the bigger sound of the Mojave cab. The Mesa is really tight, kinda razor sharp if that makes any sense.
The Mojave now has the cut of the V30, but with the breakup and low end of the G12h30.

I really want to pair this amp with Greenbacks. I dig those speakers, and think they will work perfect with this amp.

I am building a 2x12, basically same dimensions as a Marshall 1936.

I have 2 65w Creambacks lying around. Any thoughts if I should use both of these or pair one of the Creambacks with a GB, V30 or Lynchback?

I imagine the 2 cbs will sound great, but I think it would sound better with a V30 mix. I'm using that in one of my cabs and it has the cut of the V30 and the fullness of the cb. I've never heard a Lynchback.

Anyone have a Friedman 4x12? Is there Dacron batting inside by chance?
