Opposed to the SLO the Mk50s loop actually works and sounds great. Not with sensitive digital pedals, but with rack gear it's spot on. I wouldn't say that they are as similar as many people say. That special mid signature of the SLO is not there for the Mk50, however the Mk has a real special thing going the way there is "give" on muted bass notes but at the same time amazing precision and tightness.
It's important to take it easy on the resonance pot IMO, I keep it below 10 o'clock most times, however I have seen rig pictures of people running them way up.
