Good 1x12's??

SPLAWN ftw! I had no idea of how great their cabs were until i got this recently!
It is hands down the best 2x12 cab i ever heard in 30 years of playing
Sounds as big as my 4x12 marshall

Holy shit, you guy were supposed to make this easier for me! Now I've got even more options to pick from than I had originally thought of. Sweet! I had no idea that Splawn made a 1x12! I loved my Splawn rig that I had. I might have to look into those now. Thanks guys!

I believe the Splawn 1x12 is similar to the cab used for the Street Rod combo. The combo sounds huge.

I have a Mesa/Boogie 3/4 back widebody 1x12 ext cab with a C90. It sounds pretty big. I use it with a Mesa/Boogie DC-5 wide body combo (so its arranged in a stacked 2x12)

To me, the Port City is the king of the 1x12s. I've had the Mesa, Bogner and Avatar and none of them compare.

+1. Port City is the brand I would go to for a 1x12. Have had a Mesa Recto 1x12 and it wasn't bad but it lacked depth/dimension. Also have had an Avatar 2x12OS. Ok, but the Port City 2x12 standard size cab blows them both away. It's also been impressive against 4x12s. Their porting should enhance a 1x12 also. Just need to decide between standard and OS.
