Guitars & amps have disappeared.

I don't know if other areas have anything like this, but the Atlanta area CL has some piano seller that posts pianos every day with lots of duplicate ads, and they've done it for years and years. Like sometimes you can't just scroll through and browse the Musical Instruments section because you have so many pages of 10 duplicate ads at a time of pianos. I can't imagine they sell pianos this way but maybe they do, because as I said they've done this for years.
yes and yes

73' Gibson Norlin L6S = $4000 ahahahahaha thats never happening.
Boat anchor.

Actually not that much stuff being posted on there on a day to day basis, but there are definitely a few good ones. I'd probably pick up that Bogner 2x12!

yeah i should have said first page which goes back about a week but either way theres more than a few decent deals im sure you could probably haggle down even more to a good deal, and its good stuff. theres actually a bunch of shit i kind of want, that traynor, that rev G dual, that xxx 4x12

Craigslist is getting weaker and FB market has more shit in my area...

a block letter 5150 head and matching cab got posted for 500 on fb on sunday morning and disappeared before i cold scoop it.
there's a triple rec up on 1k right now
i'm seeing deals all the time
it must be the op's radius that sucks

Facebook marketplace has more items in my area but it's pretty much all garbage, and Facebook fills each page of results with tons of "ships to you" paid ad spots. It's a clunky and cluttered interface. The only reason it has taken over is that the user base is already there for the social media aspect. Local buy/sell groups on there are more reliable, but I have yet to find any that have much good stuff over the past couple years. Usually when something good pops up someone is really trying to sell, I see it posted on CL, FB Marketplace, and every applicable Group. So it's really just that there's not as much activity in this area overall. It's really funny because even around the end of '19 beginning of '20 there were lots of deals to be had. I got a great deal on my Friedman at that time and a couple other amps, but I guess I should have bought more! You would think with the inventory problems out there that more people would be trying off stuff.

just click the button that says local only
The UI is garbage and it isn't obvious where this option is. It's under "Delivery Method" on the left side of the screen where you can select "Local Pickup." This removes the "ships to you" ads but not the "sponsored" ones. It usually funnels the sponsored ads randomly to the first several rows of results. It isn't "hard" to find that option, but it's stupidly designed like most things on there and every negative thing about it makes me want to use it less. I used to work in web design/e-commerce development and in general most things on the Internet have devolved design and usability-wise since the early 2010's. Facebook updated the design and functionality of Marketplace over the past year or two but in my experience, most of the changes they have made just made it clunkier and more annoying.

If you like it and find good deals on there though, I'm sure that wouldn't stop you. I rarely browse it anymore but I do hold my nose and use it to sell.

I wonder if this is just a guitar player's thing or are flutists hoarding flute gear?

Do flutists have flute gear forums and speculate like we do? Lmao

Quit your grinnen' and drop your linen. Its time to shred some skin flute. ? ? ?
