Lately, I've been pretty surprised at what is showing up on my local CL. A couple of weeks ago there was an 82' Les Paul Custom listed for $1600! If the pics were real the guitar was in excellent condition. I know next to zero about Les Pauls but when I saw the listing in the morning I did some quick research on fakes and it didn't check any of those boxes. I figured it wouldn't last and yeah, a couple of hours later the listing was gone. Someone either got a killer deal or got scammed for $1600.

Currently there is an 03 Les Paul DC for $1550 and a 70' Les Paul Deluxe for $4500 or best offer.

Like that in my local Albany NY Craigslist. It’s gotten to the point if someone sees a Bogner/McNaught/boutique type gear friends ask if it’s mine. Always the same old 95% not interested listings.

Supply vs demand. All the good gear at great prices will disappear quickly. The mediocre stuff sits. Everything is cray cray priced over the last year and a half.
You can find some deals but you gotta be quick.
