He has been playing that Shiva rig with red cabs for at LEAST 13 years...yeah, he is COMPLETE overkill for American Idol...but also figure that being on all these TV shows, the guy had to learn a dozen new songs every week in every style imaginable with a totally different singer/arrangement...I love the fact that when my kids sit down to watch the show, at least I get to see a decent guitarist on there with some great gear!! I was shocked to see him on the show, as htey have had the black dude that plays PRS for years and years...
