It's not just commercial success, I was just using it as one of multiple different metrics - there's a reason that Roger plays 99% floyd tunes live. Because if he didn't no one would fucking show up

And the problem with your argument, while there are certainly people that would say that (about division bell and Amused to Death) the vast majority of fans and critics seem to disagree. I think they are both crap, but it's not for me. I'm just repeating what the general consensus seems to be; of fans, critics, and album sales. They are all pointing in one obvious direction.
