My friends and I in college started a Freak Kitchen tribute band in college called "Crazy Basement". We never found a drummer so we didn't get very far lol.
My best concert experience was an FK show in a tiny club in Philly. I was one of just a handful of people that showed up so I got to hang out with the band before the show, I watched the opening act with Mattias and they signed some stuff for me. so cool

back in like the early 2000s when online ordering was still getting worked out, especially internationally, my mom wanted to order me a Freak Guitar shirt for Christmas.
Turns out there were some hiccups in the process and it took several months; so come Christmas morning I open up my shirt and she tells me how she's been emailing him back and forth for months trying to get this shirt and I'm like "what the hell mom, you've been chatting up my guitar idol and you didn't even tell me" lol
I then emailed him to let him know I got it and he couldn't have been nicer and more polite. I miss the early days of internet haha
