honestly, I didn't have any intention on hanging on to it but I just got it back from my luthier, just did an awesome set-up on it and oiled the neck which obviously was never done. It is so rich looking now and plays just effortlessly, it is a bad ass guitar.

But do you like it?

it's quite versatile since the headstock works for other purposes as well.

I know EXACTLY what you mean.
I use mine as a tooth pick sometimes.
When the cats are acting bad.....I poke them with it as well to tame them.

It can really ruin some things for you. I wish I still didn't know, I would enjoy a lot of things more.

These Charvels are so good. Made me sell my Horizon. I have yet to play a better neck profile.

Pointy or Fender HS, they are the best bang for the buck out there IMO. New, used, or custom shop. Fantastic necks and great options.
I will say the Chubtone stuff looks great...although not much to choose from on their site right now. Seems he's busy, which is a good thing.

I played a Mexi made DK24 at RiffCity a couple weeks ago, and thought the neck was great. I wasn't looking to spend nearly a grand on a guitar at the time, but I did buy a used Pro Mod San Dimas off the local CL a few days later as a birthday present for myself.

About 5-6 yrs back when they first went to MiM I tried one at a Music go Round in the twin cities....yuck. Way behind the USA or MiJ pro mods, felt like a cheap imitation. But the recent production stuff has been much better I've heard.
I'm blown away by my 09 SoCal every time I pick it up. Just the most comfortable and easiest playing guitar I've ever played, and that includes 3 Charvel Customs, 2 TAs and 3 Suhrs. I'd put it on par with a friend's pre pro that he'll never sell lol...
