But the recent production stuff has been much better I've heard.feintguitarist":xcol2bh7 said:I played a Mexi made DK24 at RiffCity a couple weeks ago, and thought the neck was great. I wasn't looking to spend nearly a grand on a guitar at the time, but I did buy a used Pro Mod San Dimas off the local CL a few days later as a birthday present for myself.![]()
I want another. :0
I'm blown away by my 09 SoCal every time I pick it up. Just the most comfortable and easiest playing guitar I've ever played, and that includes 3 Charvel Customs, 2 TAs and 3 Suhrs. I'd put it on par with a friend's pre pro that he'll never sell lol...
I wouldn't mind playing a couple US made Charvels and just see how different/better they might feel. I've owned 4 electric guitars in my life, and they've either been made in Mexico or Korea. Aside from the Charvel I just got, I've been playing an Epiphone '67 Flying V for the past ~18 years. I very briefly owned an Ibanez Prestige S2075 about ~10-12 years ago. When I used to spend $$$ on gear, it was usually amps.
