Hey, who was the guy that was in that Journey tribute with Zachman back in the day? I remember they flew him in from New York for that show downtown. Was a killer show and Zach was using the Cameron modded Marshall and sounded awesome! I can still hear that tone in my head when they played "Girl Can't Help It".

Journey was pretty popular on the gulf beaches of FL starting about 2009 or 10. It was getting a lot of extra classic rock airplay on those gulf side radio stations starting around that time and even bad cover bands doing that and similar were a draw at beach bars and other clubs. My daughter is in FL. Her and her friends like Journey, Kansas, and similar bands from that era quite a bit.

Journey’s second show ever was January 1 1974 at the Diamond Head Crater Festival.

Neal mentioned this at the show and as a tribute to their long history here, played this tune (which he played here for the first time 52 years ago!) on the turquoise PRS that the governor and mayor gave him (which I found out they bought from my friend’s shop).
