This very well may be my favorite Queen album. It is amazing the masterpieces they created so early on in their career, and so ahead of it's time.

Great album! I still listen to some of the tracks today.
I saw Queen at Madison Square Garden in 1976. I wasn’t even a huge fan of the band, but the show was amazing.
I still remember Brian May‘s solo spot with the Echoplex and a huge stack of Vox amps. Total mind blower.

I bought it when it came out in 1974.

My favorite Queen record. And perhaps my favorite album of all time.

Wicked good!!!!

I was only 8 when it came out. Didn't give a proper listen until I was about 15.

You have heavy overdrive, drop D tunings, whammy bar, echoplex. Masterpiece!

Just got off the trail. It's supposed to hit 100 degrees in my neck of So Cal today.... I was able to get a good ride in. Now home and do some practice, have another gig in two weeks...

Love Queen! All albums are great to me, but yes those early albums have a "rawer" vibe that is unique.
Btw, talking about Brian May he probably has some of the very best guitar tones ever recorded IMHO; then add in the songwriting / arrangement skills, laid back positive cool attitude, smart guy with unique gear & style... a true genius and epitome of the classic rock star.

Looking forward to the Buda live release in theaters next week!
