I couldnt find his clips on that link. I also couldn't find Bob Savages clips on there. I used to love checking out Bobs demos on the Bogner page back when I was in my honeymoon Bogner phase.

On the webpage, you need to go to the UBERSCHALL clips group and then scroll down almost to the bottom of this group. There you will find both Bob's clips and the one by "Jack Frost." :thumbsup:

maybe Andy Fuchs can clear it up for us   ? ;)

To be brutally honest, it was an error in judgement on our part. Jack's a nice enough guy, and he's one heck of a salesman, especially when "selling" Jack Frost. [FWIW: He came to us and I (prior to having Debra as full-time A/R) and I made the decision to endorse Jack]. I wanted to make more inroads into the metal market, and Jack seemed like a good vehicle to do that. He was helpful in providing some direction to me as a designer who neither plays nor really listens to much metal. Jack had a modified Marshall that was pretty damn good, and it provided the basis for the original Frost models. After Debra came on board as artist relations, we signed a formal endorsement agreement with Jack. After discovering that despite having a "signature amp" bearing his name, he was endorsing any amp, guitar, or hairspray company that would have him, we cut him lose. Despite having a signed contract and a legal advantage, we decided not to bother with any legal action. The Frost became the Viper for a year or two. Peavey took issue with that name (as they made a Vypyr) and kindly asked us to change it. We made that amp into the Mantis, and added a global master and thrust (resonance) control to it, and a few circuit refinements.

It's frustrating when you build products this good, but you're not looked at in that market like a Mesa, Friedman or Deizel, despite producing equal or better products. It's taken time (longer than we expected), but we've not only shed the frostbite of Jack, but become much better known and accepted by many metal artists;

We're proud that Killswitch Engage, Eye Empire, Nick Catenese, Shane Gibson, Troy Mclawhorn, and Mike Stone, have embraced the Mantis. In addition, many metal artists who have recorded at Open Sky in Atlanta and other studios have used Fuchs backline. We have a new Mantis Jr (around 2-K) is coming out shortly, and brings many circuit improvements along with a reduced price to the market. Check out our demo: https://youtu.be/6oRFMDEQJCo

Hope this helps a little.

Quite funny :lol: :LOL: Like in any other business, you have to be persistent to have any succes. I'm glad it turned out well in the end. There are enough shady characters to deal with...

I see that ^ & raise you this:

This is some fantastic douchebaggery! :thumbsup:
