It's 1499 and released on the 7th. I'm looking forward to seeing some reviews of it. This video sounds fantastic. It's making it very hard to choose my next amp. I've narrowed it down to a Supersport or this. Im not holding my breath for a comparison vid but I would love to see one.

Well if nothing else, the Supersport has more options and is made in the USA so at least gives you something to start with. I'd write down a "pros" and "cons" list on a piece of paper. I do that whenever I'm trying to decide between buying anything.

That volume drop sucks on the Friedman though. Just noticed it.

Like the big brother the mod to add a separate volume for jbe mode and making it footswitchable is doable so I'm told.

I don't know why, but Dave said Jerry wanted the volume drop when they were designing the original. I don't remember if that was something I saw him post here or if it was in a video.

Right after the 9 minute mark. The gain mode makes the volume drop quite a bit. The be and jbe switch.

The Pink Taco is the best little EL84 amp there is in my opinion, so I'm not surprised at all that the JJ mini is great. However, there are a lot of guys who can make some of the shittiest amps sound great in recordings, so I need to hear some average joe demos before I can judge. So far though, it's amazing.

How does it do on volume? I really want one but I want something that I can play with a drummer un mic'd

I really want one of these or a butterslax jr(if one ever gets made). I had a guitar lesson with Bill Kelliher today and I was hoping I could hear his butterslax up close but he was using a little blackstar combo.

I hated cancelling mine. I think I'm going to order it next week when I get paid but I'm tempted to just get a 2204 Ceriatone. I love Alice in Chains and Mastodon so getting a JJ jr seems like it would be a no brainer. I'm just skeptical on 20 watts. I've been burned before on a lunch box amp.
