I’ve had the Ultra, II and now III for almost a decade.

My biggest complaint is how updates can dramatically change your tone. I have 25 presets for our original music, with often 8 scenes each. I can’t do that many tweaks every update, so I’m still on firmware 15.01.

As for IRs, Leon Todd uses one, his own TW7 that he made probably fifteen years ago. So chasing that dragon is a choice, not mandatory. I use a Legacy IR V30 with dyn 112 mic most of the time, even though I’ve purchased hundreds of IRs.

Mine says the input is clipping nearly all the time but I don't hear anything so I ignore it.

You'll want to address this with the input 1 sensitivity setting. Trust me. Having the Axe clip off the top of all your transients will piss you off when recording, or trying to get punch in the room.
