Looks awesome, except for the headstock design or lack of one...

I dont know what to think of that. Im sure it plays and sounds fantastic but I havent figured out if I like it or not.

This is all just my opinion. As many know I'm a huge Tom Anderson fan but the Bulldog I owned just didn't do anything for me.I kinda liked it for a while but after comparing to other guitars it didn't hold up. It really lacked the balls that a decent LP has. I had to put a really hot pickup in the bridge to get any grunt out of it. I compared it directly to my friends Anderson Cobra and I was really surprised that the Cobra sounded bigger, fatter, more balls, etc.

Again, I'm a big Anderson fan but I'll stick to Drop Tops and Cobra's. Funny is how I've always said that a good LP doesn't have to say Gibson on it but more often than not, it seems the best sounding single cut guitars do in fact say Gibson on them.

Show me a Les Paul with a top like that. They can't even install a nut properly 90% of the time....

Looks killer

That is an amazing looking guitar! If I could play an LP-style guitar, I would be all over that...

Not saying you didn't get one that wasn't right for whatever reason but I have spent the better part of the afternoon A/B ing it with my #1 Les Paul and it not only hangs with it (And I love my Les Paul) it plays better and is just as thick sounding. After playing the TAG I realize I need to really set up my Les Paul.

To each their own and I know its not for everyone but I really am surprised with how much I like the Les Anderson.

Very nice indeed.

I still want one of those Union Jack footlockers. Where did you get that?

Cool that Tom is now putting floyds on the Bulldog!

I own a Cobra and played a Bulldog for awhile, between those two the Bulldog was a little bigger sounding.

Could be. Guitars are funny things and tone can vary a lot from guitar to guitar. I may of had a tone lemon. The guy I sold it to also sold it and it's been sitting on Ebay forever.

Yes I spec'd this guitar and several others I have being built. Something for everyone from Murdered out Black Quilted Maple 7 Strings to Koa Drop Tops to Teles.

Yes sir I did, thank you for the kind words. I have a bunch more coming I hand spec'd as well. I think I will have some of the coolest TAG builds around (I hope so).

One thing that surprised me when I spec'd out my custom Anderson (which I should have early next week) was that it wasn't a whole lot more to order exactly what you want vs buying new off the shelf. I picked a few options like a solid rosewood neck that would have cost a LOT more from other builders.

Pete

I swore off the LP's, but that thing looks pretty killer...I'd love to try one.
