That is a beautiful top, love the colour too. Not a fan of LP's with Floyds but that's just down to personal taste. I've saved that pic as a reference in case I ever order an LP type guitar, perfect colour.
I have the upmost love for TAG (I've order over 25 custom guitars from them since 1995 )...but I have to side with some of the other posters that I go for TAG for their 25.5" strat bodies fiddles (Cobra's pretty good though )
When it comes to the mid-range GUT PUNCH of a short scale hound, this is what I whip out...
Owned the Atom and played the Locker, both great axes, just a bit too "nice" IMHO

Funny how we run into guitars, I have played 7 axess LPs and every one was shit for the money. Just plain bad guitars that made me wonder whenh gibson was going to hire some custom shop guys that can build a guitar.
This is all just my opinion. As many know I'm a huge Tom Anderson fan but the Bulldog I owned just didn't do anything for me.I kinda liked it for a while but after comparing to other guitars it didn't hold up. It really lacked the balls that a decent LP has. I had to put a really hot pickup in the bridge to get any grunt out of it. I compared it directly to my friends Anderson Cobra and I was really surprised that the Cobra sounded bigger, fatter, more balls, etc.
Again, I'm a big Anderson fan but I'll stick to Drop Tops and Cobra's. Funny is how I've always said that a good LP doesn't have to say Gibson on it but more often than not, it seems the best sounding single cut guitars do in fact say Gibson on them.
While I never tried a Bulldog, that guitar almost gave me an erection. That said, the nicest guitar I ever played was a Cobra S. It is a Strat shaped Cobra, so I know where danyeo is coming from. Cobras in general just are nice guitars, but the Cobra S I played years ago was special. I would love to try a Bulldog like that someday though.

too bad, got mine directly from Gibson (picked out from about 14 of 'em)...was there when Justin Derrico got his...great axes IMHO! Super versatile and basically a weight-relieved Schon/Lifeson.
@ Brad - I've got a Andy DT7 coming as well - almost spec'd out like the one you ordered! Like-minds....
