Beautiful guitars for sure and congrats on the TA dealership. I just can't get around a Floyd on a LP body though.

This is all just my opinion. As many know I'm a huge Tom Anderson fan but the Bulldog I owned just didn't do anything for me.I kinda liked it for a while but after comparing to other guitars it didn't hold up. It really lacked the balls that a decent LP has. I had to put a really hot pickup in the bridge to get any grunt out of it. I compared it directly to my friends Anderson Cobra and I was really surprised that the Cobra sounded bigger, fatter, more balls, etc.
Again, I'm a big Anderson fan but I'll stick to Drop Tops and Cobra's. Funny is how I've always said that a good LP doesn't have to say Gibson on it but more often than not, it seems the best sounding single cut guitars do in fact say Gibson on them.
Not saying you didn't get one that wasn't right for whatever reason but I have spent the better part of the afternoon A/B ing it with my #1 Les Paul and it not only hangs with it (And I love my Les Paul) it plays better and is just as thick sounding. After playing the TAG I realize I need to really set up my Les Paul.![]()

To each their own and I know its not for everyone but I really am surprised with how much I like the Les Anderson.![]()

Hey Jason,
Wow, who was your dealer, they should get on the phone. TAG is backed up for sure but that's a long time, for what its worth I spec'd a killer black quilted maple reverse peg head Droptop 7 string myself, cool fiddle.

Those are the exact specs I came up with and used last year. Did Roy tell you about mine or something?![]()
I went straight through them with my order. I have known Roy for a long time and was an Anderson dealer for 4 years back in the early '00s. With that and the tour I am on, Roy hooked me up. Very happy about that.
The reverse 7 headstock has never been made before and Tom has not written the program for the CNC. That was a huuuuuge part of my wait. Mine was to be the very first reverse 7 string they ever made. I waited and when my month came and went I emailed and they told me that the neck would not be able to be made until Tom wrote the program. My body has been done since November of last year waiting on a neck and the guitar has been paid in full since late October last year. I talked to Tom at NAMM about it and he knew exactly who I was and told me he would be able to get to it. Fast forward to early March, I get an email saying that he will not be writing the program any time soon because they were moving and that they wanted to send my money back to me.I told them forget the reverse headstock and just make my guitar with a regular headstock.
edit: Just got a tracking number and it will be here Tuesday the 22nd.![]()
