I am using the Friedman be pedal to boost my 1979 jmp... Before I had the pedal I was boosting it with a cusac screamer. That pedal Is really good. The BE pedal has tons and tons of gain so after turning the trim pot down it sounds really killer. It is very close to the cusac but yet has a bit of a different vibe... I really am liking it so far....both pedals are very good....

Where are you setting the gain trim pot and the gain pot when using it for boost ?

I turned the trim pot down a quarter way down to 9 o clock and set the gain knob at around 10 o clock with volume on pedal around 11....sounds really good around that setting

Ya... Never tried that yet...

I picked one up at GC today and to my ears it's a really nice boost . First thing I did was was open it up to adjust the gain trim pot , it was maxed and I turned it all the way off . I've never been able to live without a TS pedal but the BE keeps the low end tight without a mid hump or crazy compression . I ran it into my Splawn SS in 1st gear with a Splawn 2x12 and EVH Celestions . I expected overkill but it's sounds really good , nice tight cutting high gain sound . Here's my settings , gain on the BE is cracked open just a little
