+1...ya, its almost like all the contestants that performed that night had it goin on and were more with it than Aerosmith..lol.I tried my 5.1,than put it in regular stereo,...didnt matter, the mix was bad...i wouldve been better off watching it on a 1969 zenith or something that had a 3" speaker... and 3" screen...

I don't think JP needs to be playing a guitar with a floating trem.

He seemed to be resting his hand on the Floyd and pushing it out of tune through out the entire first song.

Whitford might as well have been playing air guitar...he wasn't even in the mix.

I think that whole band sucks ass... they haven't been good since Permanent Vacation..after that it is all boring ass annoying ballads. Tyler looks like a 60 year old woman now too. They blow, I usually change the station when they play an Aerosmith tune.

I just watched it, too. Got about a minute in before I stabbed forks in each one of my ears. I was thinking the same thing though, the playing was much worse than the tone. Tone was not great though.

I watched the whole thing and maybe it's because Ive been playing a lot lately at loud volumes but I'm not hearing him play out of tune for the whole tune. Yes, he is out on the lead passages and places but I'm not getting how some are saying that he was out the whole tune. When someone says "WHOLE TUNE" I'm thinking like he is playing a half step down throughout the performance or something like that and not areas in a song. HAHAHAHAHA!!

With that said, and this is just my opinion, but I agree, I Don't like the tone, but we all know that there's lot's of reasons that could have tributed to that.
And to my Brotha Big Daddy "D", I gotta say bro, that I'm actually glad people have an opinion. I'm getting tired of the PC bullshit. I could give a rats ass that Aerosmith is Iconic. A bad performance is a bad performance. I have many of them on youtube and Id be the first to admit it if someone called me on it.
