You have to understand that there is a lot of diversity in skin tone and looks in a single levantine family. There is no one look. My mother is pale, definitely can pass for Greek and not just due to skin color. Funny enough, when my parents lived in Venezuela, the locals thought she was Yugoslavian. My dad on the other hand has a darker complexion and blended in a bit better among the locals. But within his family are siblings, and even my grandfather who were pale as hell with red hair. And my uncle looked straight German. The uncle in which my girlfriend likes to call my "aryan uncle" lol. My dad looks nothing like that though. My complexion is in between my parents. Olive skin with milky undertones. I also have a rather ambiguous look as many people cannot pinpoint where exactly I'm from. Of course, amongst a sea of Mexicans here, I stick out like a sore thumb. I don't look like them at all. Being white is more than just skin color, although you have guys like Darryl Issa and Ralph nader who are pretty much seen as white. But they are not WASP.
My neighbors are all pretty normal and we help each other out all the time (they look after our chickens when we go away, I prune and maintain their fruit trees, etc)
My neighbors all have issues but for the most part they are all ok. I have to love them, it's a command. I suppose my occasional cranked twin and trumpet blowing probably annoys them sometimes. Well, not Mr. Maga, he loves rock guitar.
