I know the speakers are going to play a factor but what are some of the lightest 4x12 cabs you have had?

For me it was probably the 1960A.

There are a good portion of guys here loading two speakers diagonally in 4x12s and essentially making them oversized 2x12s. That has got to be light. (Edit: i just noticed @311boogieman already brought this up)

I have had four cabs I think. I never weighed them, but they are all light. The mills is a lot bigger so i have trouble walking it through a doorway between my size and its on robustness. However i would guess this is lightest to heaviest
1 randall xl
2 jcm 900 cab
3 evh stealth cab
4 mills afterburner

DV Mark was the lightest Ive owned and it sounds pretty good too.

DV Mark Neo Cab weighs 47lbs. I have an original one with Italian B&C speakers and it is awesome!!!!! The cab doesn't add much colour ( much like EV's) and let's the amp shine.

Marshall 1960 cabs run around 76lbs.

I used a VHT FB 4x12 with Vintage Neos and then used VHT D4x12s with vintage neos. Don't know the exact wights, but they were very light and sounded great.

I had an Avatar cab back in the day that was smaller and lighter than everything else I had. It was a front loaded traditional cab, and not the Orange style cab.

Or, even better, pull a dan travis and get a marshall 1965 4x10 and load 2 12's diagonally in the 4x10, to make it equally resonant but super light and small compared to the half-loaded 4x12s

An unloaded Soldano 4x12 (the old Seattle ones—28"x28"x14") is about 42 pounds. An unloaded Marshall 1960 is about 50 pounds.
Came here to say this as well - the old Soldano cabs are the lightest i've seen

I've always wanted to try a Soldano 4x12.

I had a DV Mark 4x12 a long time ago. Super light and sounded pretty damn good. I also had a Scott Dixon 4x12 road case cab that I think was even lighter. 42 pounds I think. It was loaded with Celestion Neo Century Vintage speakers. Sounded pretty killer and looked like it was made by NASA.

Those Marshall MG 4x12's were ultra light but sounded like farting through a soup can

A local friend used to have a Mojotone Lite 4x12. I helped him find a used Vox AD412 and harvested the Neodog speakers. I think that Mojo cab clocked in at 41 lbs.

That is crazy light. Did it dance around onstage during palm mutes lol

Instead of looking for light cabs, I stack and unstack my Mesa cabs to get stronger.
