Or, even better, pull a dan travis and get a marshall 1965 4x10 and load 2 12's diagonally in the 4x10, to make it equally resonant but super light and small compared to the half-loaded 4x12s

Came here to say this as well - the old Soldano cabs are the lightest i've seen
Agreed. I've got a Soldano Straight Cab.. definitly the lighest cab I've ever owned.

This THC 4x12.
It's from a German company that doesn't exist anymore...or became EICH Amplification. Not sure on that. It's very light, compact and constructed pretty cleverly. Had Neos as speakers. Two Celestion Century Vintages and two Jensen Neofins. Sounds pretty good. Though both Celestions and Jensens newer neodymium spealers sound much better.

I had an Avatar cab back in the day that was smaller and lighter than everything else I had. It was a front loaded traditional cab, and not the Orange style cab.
This. The Avatar Traditional 4x12 cabs. I have the slant and the straight. I like the slant in the room, it’s not may absolute favorite cab but if weight is a factor it’s the best. The straight gives me perhaps the best recorded tone I’ve gotten out of the 16 or so different cabs I’ve had.
