Line6 Spider Valve - ever played one?

So, my thoughts on this head after owning one, playing with a guy in my band using one and recently hearing 3 of them in different bands live on bigger stages. This is a monster amp. I've owned many prestigious amps and that said this could sit next to them and you wouldn't even know unless someone told you.

Here lies the problem... You become snobs w your $$$ amps thinking cheaper amps can't compare. False. You only criticize being the label says "LINE6" why? Because they are mass produced and true most sound like digital shit. However line6 makes some good products.

Well friends on to fry some bigger fish.
 
You can't be serious with this NECRO bump. Can you? Really can you? Not ranking on Line 6 and the cardboard tones that can be had but there is no way you can tell me it has the same dynamics as a Bogner Ecstasy for example. Anyway good luck with your fish fry, troll on.
 
I had on of the 1X12 combos for a few years I really enjoyed it. I had strymon build me an extra gain stage for it and then had a bias mod done. It was a cool amp, you can get on tone finder and find the clip it is called Ballad Jam with the same Moniker name.
 
I bought my kid one of these when he was 13. Good value especially for a 13 year old. He loved it. I grabbed a Red Bear 6L6 head a while back and sent it to Nick(DawnofDream97) for his version of an Aldrich mod, to give it to my son for his 18th Bday. Head cost me 150 and the mod was very reasonable. Its out there on YouTube. Anyway, I played the Line 6 and then the modded Red Bear. Both of us were blown away by the difference. Not even close. Played through an old Mesa 4x12 with EVs and C90s. Sorry Line 6ers.

Had the MK1 & MK2. The MK2 was definitely better in the effects dept. I got VERY usable tones out of it. Read the manual on the models - you'll know how to get the best from them, as they aren't always as intuitive as meets the eye. There are hidden treasures in a few of them.

Lotsa L6 bashing, but I've ALWAYS enjoyed their stuff. Still do.
