I understand where you're coming from, but in America, Diezel prices are considerably higher than over here in Europe due to customs etc. Just like we significantly overpay for Mesas.
If I look at a big German dealer's website, the difference between the EvH 5150 III 100W and the Diezel VH4 is 2,099 vs 2,899 euros. So there the difference is a lot smaller. Sound is of course a matter of taste, but if you just look at it from a technical side, the VH4's features may justify the price difference (if those features matter to you).
Other than that, I do not think that that was an unpopular opinion. The 5150 III slays. Not sure if it slays the VH4's channel 3, but I get the bang-for-buck argument.
