That looks great. I'm sure it sounds massive. Every review has a comment about the way the wizards move air. What makes you glad you ordered the C tranny. Can you give us a rundown on what the different types are best for? Congrats on the new amp

That is perfection!!! Congrats and throw some clips up some time.

Don't a/b with other amps. It's not really fair
I was just playing my MTL. Such a raw mean tone. See my PM. I think it's important for you to know. Has to do with the
mains fuse value ;)

Paul, I know you know there is a very big difference from the earlier unrevised Wizards. Noise ghosting, brightness, Channel popping, all sorts of differences for the better.

Well I listened to a lot of clips and found that some of them sounded smoother and some of them sounded more grittier with more growl. Later I found out it was the differences in the trannies...especially the V and C transformers. I talked to Rick a lot about the differences and he gave me the rundown. The V is smoother with a wider Q where the C is more linear with more old school grind. Now I just have to find the sweet spots on the amp...lots of controls to fiddle with.

Replied...thanks

A friend of mine had an early Wizard back in the mid 90's. That thing was a pure AC/DC crunch machine.

Beautiful amplifier! Congratulations bro,
Wizards are absolutely stunning machines!

sonofabitch! congrats and good idea to check the value of the fuses.. I changed all mine out to lower slo blo's.. I think 1a and 2a.

Also, any Wizard made in 2010 on has the same overdrive channel as the mc II.. per rick, including the values of the bright caps etc... master volume taper was adjusted then also. I have Mark Schulers MC I from 2010 with no updates, meaning no lead bright and no reconfigured relays, it sounds identical to my others that have all the updates from rick. The foundation tone of these amps remain.. the updates just center around the relays/grounding scheme. The MC 2 has the adjustable gain on the preamp of the clean and the contour control. ***if you have an early modern classic and it is unusually harsh its the switching system that is robbing the tone.. per rick- and it needs to be sent in and fixed.

and for the love of God, do not send your amp to fja

Congrats! I love mine. Some amps are keepers for life.
yes this ^

My desert island amp...always room for another one but this one stays. Playing around with settings today...going to plug in the pedal board...delay in the loop...footswitch I got from Nice Racks...see how that sounds...maybe record something with my phone...not setup to do a proper recording yet

Cool. I bet it costed more than all my amps put together though!
