Mesa going old skool

It is really weird. They have seemingly bought Mesa to reissue nostalgia. Just like Gibson. The reason it’s extra sad is because Mesa have been a pioneering and constantly progressive company. Not this.

The only reissues I think I'd be into would be the TriAxis and 2:90. I doubt they'd do that, but who knows.

Those Mesa cabs do look cool though.............:rawk:.an original one was listed by me recently for $800 bucks......

I just picked up a mint condition 2013 Marshall 1960A for $400 bucks... of course the damn mono/stereo switch was bad, I was getting a 35 ohm reading in mono through the jack the day I looked at it so I took a chance that the switch was bad. I removed the jacks and slide switch rewired the cab series/parallel and bammooooo.....13.5 ohms as it should be.

EV bottoms
got mine at a pawn shop. listed st $400 w anvil road case, i opened it up and convinced shop that someone replaced the bottom 2 speakers with no namers as the EVs from boogie were oem and had no label in back like the boogie black shadow tops. $300 out the door.

A new “library of Mesa” pre-amp would be fantastic. Ditch the dynamic voice and put in a real graphic. Synergy proved it could be done. Get Lonestar, MKV tweed and Stiletto (for the British voice) in the mix. Built in Power sim and IR loader for true direct recording /live. Would be totally cool with it needing to be 2 spaces, if need be.
It might seriously get me to buy something new again (24-48, no interest of course 😂).

Those little cabs sound like dirty ass
we appreciate your valuable insight.

🤣🤣🤣

they weren’t particularly nuanced enclosures, but one celly on a slant to punch one in the face on stage, and a bottom EV to round out the boogie lows without bloating always worked well for moi.
