Metro forum was probably the coolest forum IMO in the history of the internet. That a thread on Metro's forum would gravitate to being about Van Halen should surprise no one.

The site going down might stink for DIY amp guys by not having that info easily on hand for builds mods and repairs. But for those that sell $4k plexi replicas its a blessing.

I don't know Nitro or really understand what his beef is all about, but as an outside spectator, it seems to me that he just swooped into a thead with some baggage and stated crapping all over it and acting like a junior high kid who didn't get picked to play on the team.

Sometimes as a mod you have to do the dirty work, and be looked at as the bad guy to keep a forum from turning into a free for all insult fest like you see in Youtube comment sections. If you keep a cantankerous guy around, it sets the tone as people need to fire back and escalate. It becomes a never ending cycle, and what you see in this thread is just a small taste of what we and the Gear Page dealt with.

Sometimes people see that shit and just leave, or are afraid to post something that might get them flamed. For a long time the Metro Forum was a very civil place with 90% builders. Newbies could ask away. As it grew, we got some problems childs. That's when George got us to help, to free him up to do what he does best, and inspire others.
As far a Nitro goes. I was actually the one who rebanned him after he was mistakenly given a second chance. If that fact cuts George some slack from his shitty remarks, so beit. I'm more than happy to be the focus of his hate and blame, but I wish him no harm in return. George has enough on his plate, and I hope the site will be up and running soon.

Nitro may think I was ban happy, but banning him was more like uncloging a toilet, and was done after many PMs from other member complaining about him. Not what I call fun.

Mightymike comment just shows people what type of person he really is.All the people that he banned some werent given any warning at all.If you check other amp sites on the net you will see the hatred for mightymike because of what he did to others,he was ban happy.The reason why I was banned is because I hold my own and I say it the way it is,im the same person behind the computer screen as I am in person not a fake or a phony.I wasnt like some of the followers/sheep that were on that site,some of the members were/are nice guys and we had many conversations still to this day.When Mark A.(Rockstah) was banned he called me and said point blank that "this guy mightymike is going to bring down george's site(metro amp)"and many others felt the sameway.I find it interesting that ive been banned from metro amp probably 3-4 years ago and mightymike is still taking about me ,where was he(mightymike)before, all of a sudden he comes to this great site Rig talk and continues he childish habits.Mightymike you had fun banning me and many others wasnt that good enough for you.You need to grow up and be a man,I let it go 4 years ago you cant,your a sad individual/classless."uncloging a toilet".............

Yeah, it kind of makes you wonder right?? With that site a newb could build a plexi replica without much effort for a grand or maybe less making it harder for those who build for a living to unload 4k replicas.

Carlygtr 100% correct.As for pete thorns clip it needs more(listen to the Van halen 1 iso tracks and then compare the gain).Rockstah modded amps(mod 5) are not stock plexi's, I own one best amp for VH1 period.Over and out wasting time here...........
