Honestly I just don't care for Iphones or or other fancy bullshit like other pussies do nowadays..... You know the type right 👍
That's what I would tell myself too. You are so brave.

This was a smart technique. By setting the amp up poorly, the lack of clarity hides how shitty he really sounds.
Hey again just go off what I have available to me usually shitty phones but sometimes I try to get decent recording with what I have...... Plus dudes have always said nothing but good things on the amps, tones and guitars at an actual jam/venue...... People love the fucking Charvels I'll tell you that much.

I borrowed someone's Iphone and did these and yeah I mean they are better for that but yeah I ain't spending 1,000 dollars on a fucking phone 😂

You shouldn't have to borrow one. Aren't there government programs that give specials smart phones?

Idk fuck that, that shit be for people who need it.

I don't need or want an iPhone, it's just a novelty plus Android ain't bad. I'm fine with my shitty phone *_*
You are right. We don't need to hear your finger tone any clearer

Idk.......People no matter what or in whatever situation always compliment the tone and say it sounds fantastic......

I always say thanks but hey the guitar deserves the credit, it does everything. People ask what guitar it is..... Doesnt seem to be a Fender. "No........ Its a Charvel" 😎

Peoples eyes always lit up when I take them out of their SKB66-Pros, come shake hands after I played and give compliments.

Can others also see and hear these "people"?

I'm talking about in person actually playing in front of an audience as in the clip above. Some guy loved the Princeton Reverb so much he bought one based on that performance and tone.....

But yeah I mean in general everyone loves the Charvels. I used a vintage spec Fender that time though and it didn't sound half bad, crowd definitely liked it and again got plenty of handshakes from the music majors and others too there that night.

One thing to mention about the Jose is that I think this is one of the best amps that could benefit from the Mr. Scary Mod upgrade. The Jose has enough gain if you're using high output pickups, but if you're using PAF or similar, you'll likely feel it's just short of where you want. You won't need the Mr. Scary Mod with amps like the BE50 or BE100, but it would make a lot of sense with the Jose.
I still think it sounds like you want this thing modded for a slight bump in gain and saturation.

I did ask Dave about this and as I suspected, he... wasn't really interested in doing that. I kind of understand because I think he's trying to keep the Jose amps pure to what Jose really did. I respect that. If I need more gain in the future, I might invest in some kind of Scary mod.

That makes total sense. Wonder if Jeremy at Ground Zero could be convinced to give it a little extra juice under the hood? Just a thought...But im sure you won't want yo mess with it foo much until you're certain its a 100% keeper.

Just use a pedal, that way you can get the exact flavor you’re looking for

I’m amazed you guys think it needs more gain. I played one again today and using the tone stack master and the extra gain stage it had a shitload of gain.

To be clear, with high output humbuckers, it doesn't need more gain. It's only when I plug in my PAF humbucker guitar when I feel it could use a little more.

It's interesting how certain amps respond to pickups. I have had amps that feel / respond almost equally "gained" with everything from medium output PAFs to an EMG 81, while others almost require a high output, or even active pickup to get the right amount of attitude out of it. It almost sounds like with the Jose, you favor a lower output pickups' character...but want the drive of an amp with a bit more gain.
