Most talented players you came across lately

While not unknown by any means, the guitarist mostly known from Focus, Jan Akkerman is really great.

He was sweep picking in the 70's. It's not often that a guitarist strikes me as unique in style and composition, and then is really technical on top of that!
 
I've just stumbled upon Andy Wood. Killer. Don't know how I've missed him.

He is AMAZING and such a humble, nice guy.

Andy is a great guy and a killer player!! Easily one of my favorite shred solos (forward to 1:26)

I was in a small room when he was playing at the Philly guitar show a few years ago. He walked in, was chatting with people and seemed like a real nice guy. Plugged into an amp set to clean and ripped for like 5 minutes with new riff after riff, never repeating and super fluid, and then said he was warmed up. :lol: :LOL: Then added a little gain like in the video you posted and played totally different riffs. My jaw was on the ground.
