That last clip sounded great man!!
Nice and mean! How is it stacking up against the JVM?

Yup....I know what your saying.

You got a helluva collection of tone there my friend. ;)

Damn, I love this amp!!! Lol

By the way, I have a BE100 coming Friday. Always wanted to try one.

They complement each other incredibly well!!!

Curious how the Old Bitch and Friedman will compare/contrast.

I had the Cameron Atomica and the BE100 with the Sat switch in/out can sound quite similar to it.

Me too. Curiosity was killing me. I guess we'll see :)

Friedman is obviously way more versatile than the OB

That being said, I find there to be way more gain and bottom end on tap on the OB (especially when you start pushing the thump knob), but the BE is more articulate and has this really cool saggy feel to it

It's all relative, they're both killer amps, i'm hoping you'll do some nice A/B clips chippy!!!

I'll sum my opinion up like this:

OB: Michael Angelo Batio
BE: Guthrie Govan

Here are my first impressions of the Brown Eye.

You pretty much nailed exactly how I feel about the BE and the OB

There's a whole "feel" angle that is impossible to get a hang of through clips

The only other thing I'd personally add about the BE is that it sounds exactly how I would expect a professionally mic'd modded Marshall to sound...except you get that sound just plugging in with no mics (I'm stealing this from a friend who made the observation when he first tried the BE, I agree with it entirely!)

I agree with you 100%. I had the exact same impressions with my BE-100. I thought it was going to have a bit more gain (not that i need it). You have an awesome selection of amps to choose to play through!

Indeed the BE-100 has an organic sweet feel and sound; as if someone took the blanket off the speakers. The amp is incredibly touch sensitive and cleans up better than anything I've played. It also has a tone of sustain/sweet feedback at moderate gain levels too.

Sounded great...tone was outstanding. Nice! Is that a 425A cab? I run my Cameron Aldrich through a 425B and it kills..try yours through those greenies and you have another tonal option..

I had a BE100, liked the saturation the Atomica had. I imagine the Old Bitch is similar to the Atomica. BE100 boosted sounds fantastic though. Huge bottom end and great note definition.

Congratulations on the OB & BE

After seeing that pic, now I gotta buy more gear...damn!

Sounds great! I'm throwing some winged c tubes in to see what they sound like. The louder it goes the thicker and bigger it gets.

That amp sounds great .maybe its just me but a bunch of those style amps all sound very similar at least in clips .
The Freidman ,Camerons even the Suhr Pt stuff has a similar vibe.
Some have more gain, some have less .more saturated od ,but the gain structure articulation and mean mid range voicing sound close

To me, the Cameron and the Friedman are very similar so there I would completely agree. The PT100 however, IMO, is different. It's thicker and not as tight. Sounds better for big open chords. I needed a boost or overdrive pedal to compress it down to my taste.

It will be interesting to see the end Result with the PT40 (new one) Pete and John are working on a 40watt ,so maybe that will give you a little more compression ,also I think they have tightened up the low end
The Freidman and Cameron sound sound killer though for that 80's type Huge Marshall on steroids tones

Gun to your head. Which one stays, the Old Bitch, JVM Satriani, or the BE100 & why.....
