I sent it in late September or October so I guess it took 4-5 months. Mike has gotten so busy that he isn't taking mods anymore, but I would still email him and maybe get on a waiting list??

October 21st is the day I received your amp, to be exact I apologize for the length of time it took. There was a lot of extra work that materialized that I did not account for when I was planning the start of this company. Completely my fault on that oversight
The good news is John's was the last of the extreme back log. Working on mods that were received in mid December now

Yes, it is true that I am not accepting any more mod work until at least mid April, possibly a bit longer to finish up the Natas prototype. The main reason is that I have a hernia and my surgery is at the end of March. So no heavy lifting for me until mid April. My poor wife as been moving amps around the work space for me. Still working away, just needed to change the way I work. No big deal

Thanks Mike. I just want everyone to know that I was in communication with Mike the whole time and I was informed every step of the way. So, although it took a little longer than expected, I had absolutley no problem with that and working with Mike was awesome. He goes out of his way for his customers.

I just had double hernia surgery on Tuesday. Not that bad. 2 days on pain meds, now done. if you want any info, let me know. Mine was lathroscopic. Gotta lighten up the weights while working out. I'm not young anymore!

Agreed, wait is no issue for me since it is very common to wait a year for custom guitars. IT is not like you are waiting for a new lung or food

Just an update. The Cali arrived today in perfect shape. I fired her up and it sounds BAD ASS! Mike did a killer job with this one.

I just A/B'ed it against my Cameron Jose and it holds it own big time. I got them to sound almost identical. There are subtle differences, but if you blindfolded me, I wouldn't know which is which.

Lots of flexibility on the Cali with all the switches Mike adds.

This amp is awesome and was totally worth the wait!

I agree, listening to guys cycle through Dave's Cameron stuff and Mike's Cali mod I would be very happy with either one. Both are killer amps.

I think I'm going to turn my 71 Super Bass into a Freidman Kitchen Sink. Dave says he can do it without drilling since I'm hestitant to permanatley mod a 71.
