Yeah, I need some alone time with this amp when Mrs. Lee is out of the house. I got to hammer it for a bit yesterday, as she knew it was my new toy. But when she's working from home, she's on the phone every minute, so I have to play through my GK during her work hours. My 4x12 (Mojotone with Scumbacks) is at my tech's shop, where I also have some office space for my gun business (zoning). He uses it for testing and demos. I may bring the head over there to wind it up when the shop is closed and I can have the whole place to myself.

Oh my, she's a beauty. Shout out to RedPlated who helped make this happen, as these are kind of hard to order. I ran it for a few min. before I decided I needed to tame the gain, rolled some 12AT7s in and that did the trick. Then I checked bias, which was right at 65%.

If you only have an SLO-30, it lacks nothing, but the 100w definitely has a punch in the chest vibe to it you wouldn't think were missing from the 30w. I'll make the wild guess this thing will cut like a laser at band practice. Anyway, anyone want to buy my SLO-30?
Sweet rig! Bias check at 65% sounds perfect.

For the SLO, I definitely feel the 100 is worth it, the big thump is part of THE sound! Nobody rides for free!:codeak:

I often run my Marks in reduced power modes for recording, but every now and then have to go back to full cojones to remember what makes them Legends.
