I didn't know if you wanted me to let the cat out of the bag yet hahahah!!

I'm with Danny, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Big wreck!!

WOW! HUUUUGE Ian Thornley fan here. Anything he's done is amazing in to my ears. The two big wreck albums and the first Thornley album still blow my mind. I knew about the new tune/album but Ian now rocking a Fortin!!! sweet jasus, I didn't think my urge to see them live could get any worse!!

Just scored a youtube vid with Ian noodling through his Fortin! Look what I found indeed.... (HOLY SOLO MID SONG!!):

There's more vids from the same show to the right in the related vids section. Enjoy!

Dig the song. Thanks for posting. Ian can do no wrong in my book.

Here's a clinic where he talks gear, etc. Skip to 5:00 to hear what he can do with the instrument.

Talk about a great clean tone. :inlove:

Cool, Fortin and Big Wreck.

Ian's a smoking player. I had no idea his level of chops until I watched him play through the amp. He's been using it live for Thornley, Big Wreck and some Big Sugar gigs.

Mike, what's the scoop on the amp he's sporting?

He's using the Bones. He wanted an amp that was straight forward with not many knobs on it. He laughed when he saw the Meathead

Excellent! That was the first gig he used the Bones. That venue is right in my town of Whitby, ON. Thanks for the YT links, I didn't see these yet. I'll check them out on my lunch break!

Cheers,
Mike

Here's a cool Thornley tune that came out before the 2nd album, but didn't go on the actual album.

Oh, and back on topic. New Big Wreck tune is good, but doesn't blow me away. I know they will deliver though.

Thanks man, that is a great song which should have made the album, I was very disappointed with Tiny Pictures

You ain't kiddin'. Ian knows tone. Nice to see him with the Fortin.

I believe the 'Provide' song was a fundraiser/awareness thing for malaria or somesuch.

And while Tiny Pictures may not be on par with the BW tunes, it's still ear candy compared to it's contemporaries:

Nights are not good as that is when I'm working on orders. During the work day is best for me.

Awesome videos!! The Fortin Bones amp sounds great with his style.

Ian is a killer singer, player, songwriter....the man should be famous. Too bad the biz has basically forgotten about good guitar driven music.

It did become that, which was very cool. Ian however recorded that many months (possibly a year) before it was stapled as a fundraiser song. He had a good collection of songs done in between both Thornley albums actually. Some cool stuff. Provide was my fav. Just a great tune.

The pleasure and the greed is a masterpiece. We used to cover this tune. Simple as hell, but the tone.... ohhhhh the tone!!!!!
