I never "got" this band, nor the zeppelin comparisons

They sound like the Fischer Price© version of the Mars Volta, not even in the same universe as LZ; especially songwriting and riff writing wise (which was LZs whole thing)

The guitar playing is yawn inducing, and the vocalist has a really difficult time with the upper register

Criticisms out of the way, they aren't anywhere near as bad as some of the pure slop that's been forced on the "rock music" community

I mean I guess they sound like a real band - just a super mediocre one

But I mean, it being this bad is why everyone who can play this type of stuff has moved into more granular forms of metal, punk, etc

I mean if I magically found the most incredible rhythm section and vocalist on earth I could probably do a Dan version of "led zep worship" and it would honest to god be better than Greta Van Fleet. Which is fucking insane, because i'm just some dude. It would be the same with Tech, or any number of other experienced players on RT.

The fact that this is what passes for "The next Led Zeppelin" is honestly kind of sobering

Singer looks like Namor from MCU in this video. This doesn't do much for me, but I am old and perhaps younger people dig them. Its not terrible.

I think sometimes you cannot go back and be impressed by stuff after you have lived a life. Its why I never go to concerts anymore. There is no mystery for me.
