Randys an acquired taste, hated his vocals when I first heard them, now he's up there with Anselmo (IMHO). Dude has gone from a very one demensional death style, and taken it to his own style, adding the high pitch squeals and actually screaming/throaty stuff on pitch.

Since Anselmos not doing anything worth a fuck these days and destroyed his voice, Randy is by far my favorite screamer....

LOG rip! Most bands are repetitive. There are exceptions (Karnivool, Mars Volta) but even great bands like Tool have become repetitive. They sound like themselves, so it's bound to happen.
LOG are great at what they do. Randy is a great metal vocalist. That shit isn't easy.

Very cool. They seem to be letting the new song breathe a bit, stringing it along. Not just all rushed and about speed. You could see that change happening on Wrath too. I dig it.
Randy's vocals are wicked. I just hear tham as gravely and snarling. I don't hear cookie monster or death metal at all in his vocals.

It's funny after listening to it some more, I don't hear repetitiveness at all, just basic song structure that's in most songs..... I love it, yeah it's typical LOG but that's not a bad thing.

Lots of complaints about the vocals in here but I couldnt imagine LOG with any other type of vocalist.... They kick all sorts off ass IMO..... The style of riffing and drums just calls for all out brutality in the vocals. I mean imagine someone singing over this and not screaming, just wouldnt sound right to me. Do some of there songs sound the same, YES.... thats fine though, they stick to there guns unlike a lot of other bands.

I'm not a big fan of LOG, but I think that the vocalist's style adds a lot to their music. It's very unique. Also, I really wouldn't classify them as traditional death metal vocals.

Though I'm not completely into what Randy's doing in this tune, I've always kind of dug his vocals. I know many o' fans of cookie monster that don't dig him & complain that he's too repetitive, but I've always thought he had more variance & control than many singers in that genre. LOG is so-so to me, I've not embraced them as much others. I think their riffing is killer, but the singing kills it for me. Can't stand cookie monsters. Just can't do it. Maybe I'll morph into diggin' them. At least they're not fluffy
