Opinions please reverb purchase

I totally understand not signing for it....that said....you could have still signed and checked/tried it out. Could be that it's completely fine. In all my yrs stalking and buying GC used stuff, believe me I've seen some ridiculous packing jobs lol. But, all that said not one amp had any damage to it, other than one 81 2203 with one broken GE 6550( I shed some tears) but the amp worked great. Plus I got it for like 850, before all the Marshall used prices jumped.
But, totally understand what you did and it is totally justified. That guy obviously has no clue how to pack an amp if it was moving around in the box.

One of my first ebay purchases back in 2001 was a Peavey Supreme 160. It arrived at my door with no packing materials whatsover, just a shipping label stuck to the amp. Not sure if the packing material was torn off during shipping or if that is the way the seller actually shipped it, but the amp worked well so I just rolled with it.

Slight difference, and I do not totally disagree with the fact that the amp I bought could have been 100% in working order once I plugged it in, being reverb and no returns I will leave that guessing game for someone else, unfortunately it misrepresents the entire internet used gear option and sellers period.

Where did it ship from? Last one sold for 250 bucks on reverb. I hope it was owned by Billy Blades

I don't remember who posted it but back in the day when the high end amps were flying around here someone had a thread called the anatomy of how to pack an amp. If you followed what he did the amp could get run over by a forklift and the forklift would come out the loser.

I had a custom Suhr Modern shipped to me from Norway and the stupid fuck slapped a shipping label on the case and sent it like that.

Case took a beating but the guitar was unscathed!
