Helmut, you've mentioned that you are working late into the evenings and on Sundays.

Does that mean you are picking up the pace to catch up or are you always working that hard (now that you've had that procedure to your eyes)?

Why do you need this information?
I hope it is not necessary for you to survive!

I am a businessman, so these things are a curiosity.

Now that I'm semi-retired, I have a lot of extra time on my hands.

Seems like a legit question :dunno:

(won't be responding as I'm off to watch football - so take your time with your response)

Re: Larrys as an "investment". If you think waiting 5-6 years to make a possible $1800 off a $6500 investment is a "sound financial approach", I suggest taking a few courses in financial management or investing.

You have a mistake in your presentation.

To use your numbers...
... when ordering a Larry amp, you only pay 1/3 of the price as a deposit.

So only $2,167

The rest first when the amp is finished before shipping.

But once you have the amp in your hands, you can sell it immediately for $1,800 in profit on top of its price.

You have thus turned $2,167 into $3,967 within 5-6 years.

That was not my point. I am simply saying that if I were to invest the time and money into such an amp, I would have no plans to sell it ever. I would have done my due diligence and research to know it would be my "lifetime amp". But even with that said, and the numbers presented...simply putting the same amount of money in NASDAQ over the same timeframe would provide much better return, but admittedly...much less tone.

Or you invest in gold?
A friend of mine 😌 had bought a few ounces of gold two years ago at a price of 1.765 euros per ounce...
... this completely without the intention of making a profit, but only to escape inflation from the money.
Currently, the gold price in Germany is at 3.819 euros in purchase and at 3.558 euros in sale per ounce.
His 🤠 return certainly is not worse than if he had invested in NASDAQ?

I am a silver guy. Gold has been hot as always. Gotta keep that portfolio diverse.

We have buying stop for silver since two days.
It is no longer possible to buy silver here in Germany.
But even before that, the disadvantage of silver was that we had to pay 19% VAT on the purchase price...
... however, you don't get it back when you sell it again.
The purchase of gold altough has always been tax-free.

The purchase of gold, on the other hand, has always been tax-free.
Why did they do that? Even on coins? What would be the reasoning?

Silver coins can still be bought as long as stocks of them are still available.
However, silver coins yield little or no profit when sold.
Silver bars are sold out at all precious metal dealers and they don't get any more supplies.
The official reason for this is that the world's silver stocks are limited and the available silver is only supplied to the industries that urgently need it in production, because it cannot be replaced by anything else.

This can also be said about so many other things, including rare earth minerals needed, until they aren't anymore. I am planning on a major investment into crystal lattice.

I understand the strict component & layout/design choices, but would it not be possible to hire & train a couple competent electronics assemblers to help put them together under your direct supervision? If anything just to move the process forward quicker and take some load off your shoulders? Or is it that you don’t consider it a “Larry” amp unless it’s built from start to finish by Larry? Just curious

I've explained it already in post #182
And I'm sure that at least some of my customers see it the same way.

Supplying an unhinged German narcissist is fun for some, but man...i could sure go for tinning some components right about now. maybe wiring up some pots? maybe soldering in a tube socket?
