Wow. I wouldn't have though it was recorded in an iso box. Is this the cab you have on youtube that is in you closet? I pick up no "boxiness" or any indication it was recorded off a small cab in a closet.

Did you find some methods worked better than others to help minimize the boxiness in such a small space?
 
Damn that was refreshing to listen to! Great tone, playing was off the hook, and the mix was KILLER! When are you releasing this Pete? I most definitely would like to purchase a copy on CD.

You going to be demoing anything at NAMM this year?

well... nada, really. Halfway through I seriously upgraded my studio, with new mic pres, a waaaay better computer/monitor, interface, etc. But some of the tracks were cut on an old Mac laptop and a Presonus interface.

Really, the idea was let's see what I can do for no dough. Just using what I already own and whatever skill I have.

I'm using a Presonus 8-in interface now and it sounds pretty good to me...did the expensive pre's make that big of a difference?
 
FINALLY... a guitar instrumental song that's not endless wanking, leaping hammer-ons from nowhere and mile long mixolydian legato.

Good shit man! That tune has some real character. You flash the skills here and there but you keep on the "I have something to say" path. :thumbsup:

Very cool Pete! Awesome playing, and tone. I love the "brown" Plexi type sound - great clarity, still high gain (you really used a clean amp and that Boss ST-2, right?).

I also liked reading your gear endorsements - they seem very honest and well-thought out.

It's coming! John's just working on the boost. He promises me I'll have my prototype back with the new boost by tour (in Feb.) then the tone will be all done- then he needs to put it in the new headshell.
