"Rediscovering" old bands again...

Funny thing, I have been doing the same thing the past two or three years but i have gone back even further. I have been rediscovering my 70s to early 80s rock roots. I know I am losing my Rig-Talk red but I have been listening to a lot more rock oriented stuff like Tom Petty, Kansas, Steely Day, etc. I still love me some 80s hair metal, 90s Pearl Jam and metal from the early mid 2000s. My playing has definitely gravitated to more of a rock approach as opposed to the chug stuff I was playing 4 years ago. I love to listen to it still but my playing is different. Weird how things change!

Damn... some younguns all up in here. "Old" bands go back a bit farther for me.

Been listening to a lot of Riot, Warrior, April Wine, and other early-mid 80s bands as of late.

Oh dont get me wrong....I grew up in the 70's and love all the classics.
Just skipped over the grunge period pretty much.
Love me some Petty....Boston...Foghat....list goes on.
Traveling Wilburys has been in my CD player alot these days going back and forth between work.
End of the Line .....just such a cool song.

And I do dig me some Soundgarden. In fact, "Black Days" is my favorite, with "Spoon Man" being my second favorite.

Cornell on Slaves and Bulldozers is just too good.

Been listening to a lot of Betty and Chaos AD.

I don't put him in play rotation as much as I used to, but today I've been enjoying:

Zodiac Mindwarp and the love reaction any fans here?

Considering the MSP thread I'm not surprised you mentioned these guys. TBM is the bomb. Prime Mover video is money. Dude was a sleaze poet of the highest order..

I've also been getting back into molly hatchet ..... what a great southern rock band they were

Wanna talk forum cred destruction? I went with Hall & Oates: Behind the Music for an hour last week and loved it. Got excited when I heard their stuff pop up the next day on my oldies station.

I may need a few plays of GWAR to cleanse my metal soul
