For those that want to recognize the "little people" , looks like George was all about that too.

Read about this earlier today, man such an amazing thing for him to do. I dig that he did it under the raider and didn't seek publicity for being a decent human doing right by people.

Impressive, I had no idea he did this much. Now that is someone who gives back. There are far too many people who are in a position to give who just don't so this is refreshing.

Really?... Who gives a f***?
They out of Midol in your town?

No big deal, let's just chalk this up to it is Christmas and he had a little too much rye before writing that post. That shit will fire you up! (Oh that's whisky for you muricans', We call some of it rye)

RIP. He was a great singer and performer. Not typically my kind of music, but far far better than today's super autotuned dum dum wacca wacca shit. I's rather be offended by the hypocrite cousin raping bible belt white trash than his antics.

We post RIP threads because we all have a shared experience of the same musician and music that we can all relate to. I also get annoyed when I see people gush over a celebrity that we don't even know, but I realize it's a shared experience of pop culture that we all have memories of. Three of my wife's favourite musicians died this year (Prince, Bowie, George Michael), and its somewhat hard for me to relate, but it really affected her because it was like losing part of her life.

I don't think people realize the impact of music. I grew up a military brat, then had a career in myself. When you are sitting in some airport somewhere and have your headphones on and a certain song comes on, it gives you a feeling of being home no matter where you are. Anytime I was in a new, echoing, empty housing complex waiting months for my housing goods to arrive, I could close my eyes and escape. :)

It was like when Robin Williams died. People at my work were confused as to why folks were down, etc. since they didn't know the actor. They didn't know him, but they remembered where they were when they first saw Good Morning Vietnam, or hearing that voice from Aladdin, etc. It is a loss because it was a soundtrack to a part of your life.

When anyone from KISS and Metallica dies it will be huge for me. Both bands were the groups that guided me from seven years old until now.
