I'm pretty sure his 2203 also has a Gower mod in it. The one he used at a local guitar clinic in 2025 definitely did.

you know the amplifier - the one that is responsible for the rhythm and lead tones of the BFTA album from lynch.

i know aspen sold it to GC along with the rest of his collection to fund USA tube productions.

i know i've heard rumors that someone over at plexipalace owns it currently.

im making it a mass effort to find the original owner of this amplifier - for history reasons if not for my own wondering and everyone else too.

im sure im not the only lynch fan out there that wonders where this thing is at

im going to register at each and every forum to see if i can get...

Yes, that elusive early 70's Purple Super Lead we've all stared at in the old Wicked Sensation studio session video
I remember chatting with some of the members over the Plexipalace forum years ago, one of them had been the new owner; what I took out of it was it was "just another average Marshall of the era, nothing special really"..
I remember hearing the "blown out replaced transformer" thing also, but can't remember more about it and not sure when that would have happened exactly; could have been between George playing it and the newer owner.

Anyway, that's one of the reasons I love old custom color Marshall and early Super Lead for sure
Purple one have always eluded me, but I managed to play a couple White SuperBass for a while and a particular mean sounding '71 Red SL that was doing the GL thing pretty well with the right cab:

His timing is all over the place these days but the tone here sounds good for sure. The scary is awesome in a 2203/ 2204. Can probably get away without a boost.

Just the other day I was talking to a buddy about how it´s just so, so typical that my Orville LP might be the best-sounding guitar I have. As a life-long super strat dude it rubs me the wrong way This was in a very Lynch-esque setting too; 808 into mid 70s Super Lead into greenbacks.

Same here, my 2002 Les Paul Classic is my best sounding guitar.

singer is doing justice to the song—nice to hear a heavier vocal than the original— and the rhythm crunch sounds good.

Those Marshall heads are for looks. You can see the lights are not lit. He has a head which looks to be some type of Marshall off to the side feeding one of the 4x12's. I got a good look a few months ago when he came thru.
