No no, that's just it. I want the Tele of Tele's - I want all the twang, bite, grit and spank that the oldschool, canoe paddles can offer. I'm going deep!! No humbuckers, no individual saddles, no rosewood - just pure, raw, Tele simplicity. I wanna see what the hell I can do with itSFW":2bvkvgcj said:Go pick up a used MIM tele and swap out the pickups. If you don't want any tawng at all, I highly recommend the Duncan Quarter Pounder. I currently have my tele loaded with a Duncan Broadcaster and vintage neck. Even though they are "vintage" output pickups, it still brings the rock with authority. Teles are wonderful guitars. They are only limited to what you can put into your playing. If I didn't have such a love affair with Les Pauls, I could easily be a full time tele guy.

And as for 'Les Paul Love Affairs", Bro, that's all I am... I love my Lesters hands down. They're 'MY' guitars. I got several and they're all my fave players, would never want to be in a position of picking 'just one'. I find they feel great, play great, sound great, and I feel they're an extension of me.
So why a Tele?? Because I want to see what it can do in the rock, heavy, and alternative department into a high-gain head.
This is sick... I've got problems.
No worries Vultures, there's enough to go around
