Seller's Remorse?

I had a see thru red LTD EC500. I sold it because I was in a slump, I had just moved to a new town and wasn't working yet. I got $400 for it, but paid $300. Exactly 2 weeks later, I got a job and have regretted selling that guitar ever since. It was nothing special, but it played so good and was so pretty when I shined it up. Easiest playing guitar I've ever owned.

Most of the stuff I've gotten rid of was for good reason, but I still wish I could have kept everything. I got rid of my recto but I'd like to have another at some point. The one thing that haunts me is the Ibanez AD-230 analog delay rack unit I traded a few years ago. It sounded ridiculous. Now I see it mentioned in "best delays ever" articles and it makes me regret getting rid of it.

But, it wasn't practical for me to keep and I don't own a studio so i couldn't really put it to great use. I ended with a Strymon El Cap, Dr Scientist Trem and a Neo Clone as trades, so I think I made out alright.

Traded a 1994 Fender '57 Reissue Strat in Sherwood Green with a replacement neck on it (not sure the make of the replacement) for a Charvel Model 3. Went back two days later to see if, even with money on my end, I could get my Fender back. It had already sold.

I was gonna list a bunch of stuff... but naw... I was ready to dump it or I would've kept it.

Probably the ONE that sticks in my mind though is my Lickliter Rage prototype. Sold it to a friend who lurks here when I went into all-acoustic mode for a year or so. Would like to have that one back some day. He promised me first dibs on it if he ever does dump it. Hopefully I'll have the dough when/if that happens!

Still bummed about selling my 20th Anniversary Ecstasy 6L6 model. Miss that amp.

'04 Les Paul Classic.... it was my first quality guitar, sold it to help me purchase my current guitar.

My late 90's Marshall 1959 SLP RI modded by Bill Sundt at Soldano Amplification.
Best MV and effects loop i ever had , and the loop had volume controls for the send and return for maximum flexibility .
I got the Marshall bark with EL34's with the Soldano drive all in one.

91' Les Paul Std in natural (high gloss) all gold hardware and really plain top. Supposedly only made 300 of them. My old boss has it and won't sell it back unless I give him like double what he paid me. Bought a 92' to replace it and it has a more figured top but I should never have sold the original. Was my first brand new Gibson Les Paul.

I sure wouldn't mind having my old early '80s Gibson LP standard I sold in my "must have a FLoyd" days!

GMW RR polka dot V. Serial #41
GMW snakeskin DiMartini replica
03 Gibson LP custom
JVM 210 FJA modded
A few USA strats

More stuff I can't think of right now.
Now I feel like shit

Jubilee 1x12 combo 2 years ago. Killer. Had 2 more since, but neither sounded as good as the first....

My CCV - #3 made
My Bogner 100B
Lastly and old Suhr from the good years with an original floyd

Cornford MK50, but I managed to buy it back a couple of years later. :D

I should've never sold my Axe FX II to Brad back when he was snatching up all in sight.

I had my issues with it but damn that was the most inspiring piece of home equipment I've ever owned. I recorded more music in those few months than I usually do in a whole year.

I have never really regretted an amp sale. I did have buyers regrets over a couple custom guitars. That will never happen again. Since I had so much time and money in those, selling them was painful. I don't necessarily want the guitars back, but since they were tailored for me, I expected to hang into them for life.

Marshall 1987X. It had the greatest tone. But the amp was as loud as hell when turned past 2. Tried a Powerbrake but it just wasn't the same.
