Check out how thin the neck is on this 2016 SG Naked I picked up the other day.
Not the thinnest I've seen. That would go to a '78 SG Custom I had. I could not play open position D, Am, and C chords on it without muting adjacent strings, and I have pretty skinny fingers.View attachment 393036View attachment 393037

It's like the original SG of the 60-70's. Feels more like a pool stick than a guitar neck.
Les Paul is 1 11/16 to 1 3/4. Funny how the little change feels so different.
