SLO clones?

I can build one for you (expensive). Or... I'm absolutely loving my Omega Granophyre, which is essentially a modded SLO circuit. You might be able to find one for sale somewhere.
How is omega modding the circuit ?
& how expensive are we talking ... For the right price & with some input I might be convinced to spring for a custom SLO clone

I've seen a handful of the C3 SLO kits on the used market ... Anybody have thoughts on those ?

For a used Grano... probably $2800 depending on the specific revision. They're single channel (but have high/low gain switch), they have an additional cathode follower circuit and a few switches here or there for tone shaping. The gain stages are all voiced a little different from the SLO. More modern sounding, tighter, less hot-rodded Marshall and more Recto. It's my favorite amp at the moment.

I built a C3 years ago. A/B tested it against a real SLO and they were 99% identical. I play modern metal and I think the owner posted clips to YouTube somewhere, but he plays lower gain stuff.

I play metal as well but I like a fat sludgy sound - I love my SLO 30 tone for this but it doesnt have the volume !!

When you say that you could build a SLO 100 clone ... please elaborate. You mean a kit style or a copy from the schematic ? A SLO with more options for tone shaping sounds super sick. I am definitely more interested in the beefy hot rod marshall sound than the "modern metal" kind of tone. Even though I play blackened death metal/grind/sludge/drone

That SLO clone I posted above. I can build that exact same thing again. PCBs and chassis would be from C3. Not sure what iron is available for an SLO today. Back then, it was O'Netics. But they're no longer around. Maybe C3 still has some iron though. All the other parts would just come from Mouser or Digi-Key. I think C3 builds clones too if you don't want to build one yourself or have someone else (like me) do it.

Would you recommend some modifications for extra beef, sludge and chug ? I dont like the gritty djent style chug - I am looking for a high on fire kind of heft, capable of both death metal precision and sunn style drone.

How do you feel about boost pedals? Also let's take this to PM
