As far as the retube and bias goes, i did rebias the amp and i did retube it with ruby el34bstr's... not sure what to say there I highly doubt the trim pot moved that much in shipping but who fucking knows !

It really upsets me more then anything , i cant believe youd think id burn you or anyone like that.... WOW!

My tech DICK WITH IT?!?! It was fucked up BEFORE HE TOUCHED IT!! Was I supposed to send it to Mark to be fixed? Yeah, sure. And never see it again... And I talked to Mark about these problems after I got it. So i guess I called him and made all this shit up too right?

The DAY I GOT IT, I told you about the issues. The bias was at 11 and maxed at 31, humming, and SHIT TONE!

I don't know you all that well Nick, but from what people tell me, you're a stand up guy. And I'm not saying it wasn't a shipping issue either. But from where I was sitting, the ball was in your court. I was stuck with it. I wanted to send the amp back to you the day I got it, but I didn't go there because, like you said, you're not a store. I was hoping you'd bring up filing a claim, but there was no visual damage to it. So..... I dunno.

All I know is I remeber feeling like somebody punched me in the stomach. Standing there thinking, wtf did I just spend $1,800 on? But, it's in the past. It's out in the open now. We can move on.

I'd be glad to cover half of your expenses for whatever repairs were done to the amp, I honestly wish this was handled differently, i'm an honest person and i'm willing to agree that if the amp did get damaged on its journey there that i'd be glad to split the costs with you.

Well, I appriciate that. But I don't even remeber what it ended up costing me in the end. I lost $400 on the sale itself, drove a total of 8 hours and think I gave him a couple hundred bucks and some tubes or something (it was a while ago).

im a member of a forum where its nothing but technicians, and we shoot the bull and run ideas over each other. its the learning process and theres really only one way to do it.

hell, look at soldanos for example. how many people you think have cloned them?

does mike care? hell no. why? because he knows the real amp lines have the true transformers and the build quality cant be beat. plus its the real deal.

IMHO people like mike soldano are what push the modding and analog tube tone chasing ahead each generation by having the schematics out there.

I actually was the High bidder throughout almost the entire auction , in fact the opening bidder, and closing bidder. I did not hit the reserve but I put my bid in and was willing to purchase from Tim as him and I both discussed. It wasn't the number he wanted to hit, so there it is boys and girls!
