What do you think fellow bass tone connoisseurs?

Me neither. It screams darkglass to me.
My SVP-Pro has a the 2 Pro graphic but I never use it. I get everything I need from the regular controls. My basses have an active mid boost/cut which I use time to time.
I’ve been running the pre into the return of a GK800rb and what’s cool is the boost/drive control on the Gk is after the loop, so you can use it as a post pre, flavor control.

I’ve got my GEQ set for my Spector. As long as I run both pickups full open or at least matched I get the tone I need at any volume level. I never touch the knobs or the EQ. Just the volume knob on the amp and the tone controls on my bass. Granted if I was still gigging I’d be using multiple basses and I’d be using it a little different. Definitely more high end for the 4001.
